That’s after his storming win in the third outing of the year at Kilkeel Golf Club.

He carded 37 points to blow away the rest of the 30 strong field on a blustery early morning start.

It was a bigger score than had been expected as, on the front nine, word got around that the scoring was proving difficult and rumours were that 32/33 points would take the crown.

This was never in the mind of the ever aggressive Stewart Revels, who pulled out the three wood for the par three 148yard eighth into the wind and knocked it within two feet for an easy two on the card. Good golf knowledge there Stew.

Onto the back nine and with the “closest to pin” on the par three 11th, it was Russell Connell who took the accolade as he hit onto green within eight inches of the hole.

Then it was the Longest Drive at the 18th and a 242 yard shot into the wind was managed by Ryan Lappin. Many got past him but none could find the fairway.

With all the fun awards seized, it was back to the clubhouse for a pint and feed and to crown the winner Neil.

It was super scoring from a man that fully deserved this win.

The next outing is back up the country to Masserene GC, another first for the Lost Boys.
