Nelson Cup final this Thursday night

CONNOR will play Killymurris Glarryford in the final of the Nelson Cup this Thursday night, March 22.

Connor sprang something of a surprise when they defeated league champions First Ahoghill ‘A’ by 23 shots in last week’s semi-final.

Had it been a league match, Ahoghill would have suffered the indignity of picking up no points, as they were beaten on all four rinks, with Tommy Hill, David Elliott, Leslie White and J Elliott the successful Connor skips.

The other semi-final was closer, with Killymurris having to rely on second half victories from James McWhirter and Mark McCullough - both by 12-6 scorelines - to edge past Cuningham ‘B’ by five shots.

The final will be played in Second Broughshane Church Hall, starting at 7.30pm.
