Nelson takes Kerr Smiley Cup
RETIRED footballers seem to be attracted to golf when their boots are hung up.
The hotly contested Kerr Smiley Cup at Bushfoot Golf Club showed this with Nelson Calvin (14) amassing 41 points to beat James Crooks (19) over the last six holes.
James himself had only one point to spare over Billy Wilmont (17) who took this spot on countback over the final nine. A neat 72 was enough for Gregory Warner to claim the best gross of the day.
