Nesbitt selected for Commonwealth Games

BALLYVALLY archer Mark Nesbitt has been selected to represent Northern Ireland in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi later this month.

There he will be up against the top archers in the world including the Great Britain Team who competed in Beijing. The main threat however will come from India who are very strong at the moment and will be shooting in front of a home crowd.

Mark is just back from the Youth Olympics in Singapore where he shot well in qualifying despite tough weather conditions with thunder and rain. In the knockout stage he progressed well until he came up against a home competitor from Singapore in front of a partisan crowd.
