Netball girls keep winning streak going

SEVEN Towers Firsts remain undefeated in the league after beating the PSNI 49 - 35 on Saturday, October 22 in Methodist College Belfast.

It was the tightest game the girls have played so far this season, PSNI were winning for the first 3 quarters but after some tactical decisions and changes made at half time by the captain, Julie Anne Cairns, the Ballymena team began to run away with the match.

The last quarter was by far their strongest where they scored 16 goals compared to PSNI’s 5.

The 2 shooters, Katherine Scullion and Julie Anne Cairns had a great game, rarely missing their shots and often gaining interceptions from the other team. Denise Kennedy played an excellent game and kept the momentum going in the center court.

Aine McCormick was player of the match for her steely determination to prevent her player from ever getting the ball and her superb positioning on the court throughout the match.
