Portrush pair, Simon Colvin and Derek Smith, are drafted in for their debut, along with Johnny Calvin, from Coleraine. They Provincials have gleaned a certain degree of satisfaction from the two-day event in recent years, having hoisted the trophy in 2009 and 2011. However, the Private Greens League managed to prise the title from their grasp 12 months ago in one of the closest finishes in years.

The Provincials will begin their assault against the holders at Crumlin on Friday, May 31. They will then face the NIBA on Saturday morning, also at Crumlin, before facing the Bowling League of Ireland at St James’s Gate in the final session.
