New Karate Coaching DVDs

Seven Towers karate club have become the first club in Chujo Karate Association to display the Associations new set of coaching dvd’s aimed at the development of karate children from age 5 years to 16 years.

On Wednesday last Chief Coach Dan Redmond presented the new series for inspection by members and parents. Dan explained that the dvd’s were not meant to replace lessons with a qualified coach but that they would be an asset to lessons already learned.

The dvd’s cover Instruction for yellow belt 9th kyu, red belt 8th kyu, orange belt 7th kyu, green belt 6th kyu, blue belt 5th kyu, purple belt 4th kyu. Brown belt 3rd kyu, brown + white belt 2nd kyu, black +white belt 1st kyu, Shodan ko black belt under 13 years and Junior black belt 13 to under 16 years. All aspects of all examinations covered.

Dan Redmond explained that for some time now both members and parents had been requesting some kind of reference help for exams.

As a result of these requests the Chujo Karate Association had the special series produced. He said the dvd’s were selling like hot cakes.

On Saturday, February 1 the Seven Towers LC club took part in belt examinations at Ballymena North Business and Recreation Centre.

The club is now inviting new memberships. The minimum age to begin karate is 5 years old. There is no maximum age. The club meets each Wednesday in The Minor Hall of Seven Towers LC. Those interested should come along for a try out. No special clothes are needed to start lessons. A tracksuit or loose trousers and t/shirt will do. Inquiries 07976987696. Email [email protected]
