New league structures are put in place

Three divisions of 16 teams will replace the old format of four divisions.

The leagues will be run off on a one way system and when all games have been completed each division will split and another series of games will take place to decide who are the overall winners of the cup (top eight teams) and shield (bottom eight teams).

From a local point of view division one will include Clan na Gael, Clann Eireann, Maghery, Sarsfields and Wolfe Tones.

There are no teams from the greater Lurgan area competing in division three in the forthcoming season.

Division two will see Eire Og, St Paul’s, St Peter’s and Tir na Og compete for honours.

Although the championship draws have already been made for the 2012 campaign, for the 2014 season onwards clubs competing in championships will be drawn from the respective divisions.

For example - division 1 (senior), division 2 (intermediate), division 3 (junior).

The new league structures for local sides:

Division one - Armagh Harps, Ballymacnab, Carrickcruppen, Clan na Gael, Clann Eireann, Crossmaglen, Culloville, Dromintee, Granemore, Killeavy, Maghery, Pearse Og, St Patrick’s, Sarsfields, Whitecross, Wolfe Tones

Division two - Annaghmore, Belleek, Clonmore, Eire Og, Grange, Keady, Madden, Middletown, Mullaghbawn, St Michael’s, St Paul’s, St Peter’s, Shane O’Neill’s, Silverbridge, Tir na nÓg, Tullysaran.
