New look for Lurgan Junior Netball team

Lurgan netball club New City Juniors will certainly look the part this season thanks to a new kit sponsored by Distributions Direct.

New City Junior Netball Club is the only Junior Netball club in the Lurgan, Craigavon and Portadown area.

Offering skills and knowledge of netball to young girl’s age group 11-16, the junior club was introduced in 2008 under the name of Portadown Junior Club but the club has had a facelift and introduced the new name with two teams which will compete in the Northern Ireland Junior U14 and U16 Leagues.

This year sees the first ever kits for the young girls and these were kindly sponsored by Distribution Direct, Craigavon. New City Junior Club trains at Lismore Comprehensive on a Wednesday night from 6.00pm to 7.00pm and will resume on Wednesday 25th September. Coach Joanne Heasley intends to widen the knowledge of netball and bring netball back to the area.
