New records set at the Roost

The Roost Bar was the place to be on Thursday night for those that love a good game of darts.

A new high finish was set by Andy Martin with an excellent 150 checkout. Rodney Kane and Daniel McDonald both recorded the big 180 and Daniel also hit the fastest leg of the season going out in 14 darts. In the doubles Daniel McDonald and Andy Martin set the fastest leg to date checking out in 20 and 21 darts. There was also over 55 100+ scores recorded over the six games.

Roost A 5 v 1 Floyd’s Flights

In a tighter game than the scoreline suggests Roost A claimed another five points at the expense of Floyd’s Flights. Roost took the lead when Daniel McDonald (5x100, 134, 2x136, 137, 14 darts) overcame Rodney Kane (2x100, 125, 137, 140, 180). William McKendry (2x100, 137, 140) levelled the score with a win over Jeff Watt (2x100, 139, 140, 21 darts). Roost A then won through Andy Martin (100, 125, 132, 20 darts) who defeated Stephen Collins (100, 121) and Davy Morrow (3x100, 117, 140) who beat Francie Kelly (100, 121, 123, 131, 140). In the doubles it was the Roost who showed their class with Daniel/Andy (3x100, 2x140, 180, 150 finish, 20 and 21 darts) powering over William/Francie ( 100). Jeff/Davy (3x100, 125, 134, 2x140) wrapped up a good result by defeating Rodney/Stephen (2x100, 137, 140)

Floyd’s B 3 v 3 Forge Bar

The Forge stay in second place after twice coming from behind to earn a draw. Noel McKendry (121) beat Harry Stirling (100, 102 finish) and Adam Hutchison (100) beat Lee Hall to put Floyd’s 2-0 up. Wins for Darren Boyd (2x100, 18 darts) over Stephen McNeill (140) and Gary Kennedy (2x100) over Tommy Dorrans (121, 100 finish) levelled the score at 2-2. Floyd’s won the first doubles game when Noel/Stephen (4x100, 102, 114) defeated Lee/Gary before the Forge took the final game as Darren/ Harry (2x100) defeated Adam/Tommy (100).

High Checkouts this week were 150 Andy Martin (Roost A), 102 Harry Stirling (Forge Bar) and 100 Tommy Dorrans (Floyds’s Flights).
