New season gets under way

THE first matches of the new season got under way last week with the two BRBL teams meeting in their first encounter of their season.

The first two players to do battle were the newcomers to the league M Graham and S Quigg with Quigg winning both frames.

Quigg had been well behind and needed all the colours to win but won the second easily.

Another new player making his debut was C McIntyre beating W Skinner in straight frames while A McGonigle accounted for J McCook by two straight frames. A winning start for All Stars by four frames to two.
