NI Under 19 call-up for Gareth
LISBURN teenager Gareth Deane is celebrating having been called up to the Northern Ireland Under 19 squad for their upcoming challenge matches against Iceland.
The 16-year-old goalkeeper will travel to Iceland on Sunday with Steve Beaglehole's side for matches on September 20 and 22.
Gareth has just returned from Slovakia where he played for Paul Kee's NI Under 17 Team in a friendly double-header against Slovakia These matches were in preparation for the UEFA Championships which take place in Portugal from October 20-28.
The QPR scholar is continuing to enjoy success with the top Championship side's Under 18 Youth Team.
