NIPBA Cup Finals come to City

NORTHERN Ireland Provincial Bowling Association in conjunction with Brooke Park Bowling Club, City of Derry Bowling Club and Derry/Londonderry UK City of Culture will host their three major cup finals, this weekend.

It is the first time that all three major cup finals within the NIPBA have come to the City; it is all thanks to the hard work and persuasion of NIPBA President Michael Fahy also a member of Brooke Park Bowling Club in convincing his NIPBA General Purposes Committee that Derry/Londonderry is the best place to stage the cup finals this year.

In Brooke Park on Friday night the Sutherland Cup Final between Coleraine and Limavady whilst in Lisnagelvin hosted by City of Derry will be the Hyland Donaghy Cup Final between Portstewart and Brookgreen both games will kick-off at 7pm.

On Saturday there will be the showcase event in the Piggott Cup Final where local side City of Derry will take on last season’s league Champions Portrush in Brooke Park at 2pm.
