NO CHANGE AT THE TOP

The Marian is still leading Division 1, but Dunluce, are only one point behind them with a game less played. St. Colmans’ are up into third spot but have played two games more than fourth placed Loughanreagh.

The Marian was at home to Boveedy and the final score reflected the position of the both teams in the league. James Martin (Marian) was up against Alan Catherwood and won 17 shots to five. Joe Martin (Marian) had the tightest game of the evening going on to win by four shots against Aaran Tennant (B’veedy). In the second half Brian McAlary and William McCaw, both Marian had decisive wins in their games with Ashley McCahon and Doughie Morrow respectively.

St. Colman’s who are coping admirably in their first season in Division 1 had a six points to one win at home to Ballinrees. David Walker (St. Colman’s) had a hard fought game with Victor Millen (B’rees), the game ending 11 shots each. The second game in the first half was also a draw when Paul McCook (St. Colman’s) and Uel Gordon (B’rees) scored nine shots apiece.

The game was won in the second half with Martin McAleese (St. Colman’s) beating Jonathan Calvin (B’rees) 21 shots to three and Kenny Carson (St. Colman’s) being too strong for William Calvin (B’rees), winning 12 shots to three.

In the other remaining match in Division 1 Dunluce travelled to Second Kilrea and won all seven points.

There were no matches in Division 2.

As all of these games are behind schedule would teams please make the extra effort to have them played as soon as possible.
