The event was a rolling 10 mile Time Trial on a relatively new road to the Wheelers starting at Hayes Pipes and turning at Holm Terrace, Dromore.

Conditions were fair on the night with a mild gusting wind and “Clogher Hill” being the only real obstacles to the 23 riders.

Fastest Wheeler on the night was Paul Wilkinson, 22’43, showing no dip in form in these closing weeks of the season.

Darren Lynas was second posting a 23’27. A time of 25’24 by Simon Keery earned him plaudits in third place. An impressive 25’55 was also recorded by Brian Hanna on a road bike.

The Club would like to thank Billy and Eddie on the clocks and all our non-riding marshals for giving up their time to make our events pass off safely. It was good to see a few old faces back at the race too!

Next week West Down will hold a 15 mile circuit TT on the Rathfriland Road. Please note that the first bike will be away at 6.45pm
