Norman causing a storm in Pool League

Railway 4 Higgins B 4

Stormin’ Norman Cardwell teaches the Murphy clan a lesson defeating elder brother Gary and their doubles pairing in one night. After going 3-1 up through D Paxton J McGivern and D Murphy, Railway looked home in a boat.

However, superstar signing B Doherty, fresh from his international exploits at the home nations in Edinburgh, pulled Higgins back in contention just before the D Buchanan made easy pickings of B McGivern.

Draws seemed a popular result this week and the Anglers v the Castle didn’t disappoint either.

Either could have felt they could have won, with the home side going 2-0 up through M Cosgrove and C McAvoy, then the away team going 3-2 up through R Harper R Fitzpatrick and C Corbet.

P Doyle equalised to level the match.

Market Bar B 4 O’Reillys 4

O’Reillys battled hard to earn their first points of the season. The Market B should be kicking themselves after being 2 frames to the good twice in the match only to lose both doubles.
