Nortel book place in last sixteen of Irish Cup

NORTEL came from two goals down and and survived penalty shoot-out drama to conquer Bryansburn Rangers and book a place in the last sixteen of the JJB Irish Cup.

The fifth round replay win on Wednesday at Clandeboye Park means Jamesy Kirk's side will now face a trip to play David Platt's Coleraine on February 13.

A Darren McKay penalty and Joe McRoberts strike saw the local team restore parity to take the tie to extra-time before Kieran Loughran drove home the winning penalty.

Nortel, who sit top of the pile in Division 1A, are the Amateur League's sole survivor in the Irish Cup.
