A dress fit for Coronation Day

An exhibition has opened in St Columb’s Cathedral celebrating the life of HM the Queen and the association between the Royal Family and the Cathedral.

Today, Friday, June 22, one of the Queen’s Maids of Honour, the then Lady Moyra Hamilton, sister to the current Duke of Abercorn, now the Lady Moyra Campbell, visited the Cathedral and brought with her her Coronation dress, which is on display for two weeks.

The public is welcome to view the dress, and donations are being taken to help the NSPCC, a charity close to Lady Moyra’s heart.

Meanwhile, the Jubilee exhibition which was launched on Thursday at the Chapter House in the Cathedral, will remain open to the public throughout June and July.
