“He broke my ribs and half killed me. I had seen him alright, but I did not expect him to attack me.

I got away by crawling out below the gate and I went into hospital and they told me I had broken my ribs and collar bone. I was black and blue. It was five or six weeks before I recovered. It took a quare bit out of me now.

I was a wee bit scared at the time.

I was just walking through the yard where the cows were and I remember the bull was in along with the cows.

I don’t milk now, I am retired.

That was a day that stood out in my mind. I will never forget it.
