And to ensure yet another success the organisers, from youth groups in the villages, lined up a full programme of activities including games, quizzes, outings and a barbecue.

Centred on the parochial hall in Waringstown creative activities like puppet making classes run by local girls Lorraine Elliott and Sandra Brown took up most of the morning sessions.

But the highlights of the festival fortnight were the bus trips and outings.

The young people also enjoyed a barbecue at Tannaghmore Gardens and a visit to the American Folk Park.
