Cricket group ‘flourishing’ in 1967

THE ‘flourishing state’ of the Mid-Ulster Cricket Group was praised by President, Mr Joe Loney, at the annual meeting in 1967.

Over the previous five years, he said, the group had gone from strength to strength and was organising four competitions.

Mr S. W. Ferris read the financial report and said the group was sound financially.

Mr Loney was re-elected as President while local vice-presidents were Miss R. E. Best, J. Carroll, F. Douglas, D. Johnston, R. M. Liddell, D. Nesbitt, J. A. Orbinson, A. Cunningham.

Chairman was J. S. Byrne while S. W. Ferris was secretary/treasurer.
