Factory managers go back to school
Managers at Barbour Threads went back to school in July 1971 to complete a Management Development Course to broaden their outlook in the general running of the company.
The course consisted of illustrated lectures, given by specialists, seminars and group discussions.
They dealt with the history and the organisation of the factory communication, work study, quality control, production control, problem workers, absenteeism, building and maintaining control.
