Highlighting urgent need for a community centre

The urgent need for a community centre in the borough of Lisburn was stressed at a meeting in Lisburn’s Railway Street Presbyterian Church in 1969.

The Ulster Star of December 6 that year reported that members of the Dromore Presbytery expressed considerable concern that so many young people had a very limited choice of places in which to spend periods of relaxation and to associate with others.
