Hyster to move to Craigavon

A LEADING American firm announced it was setting up a £30 million factory, creating 600 new jobs, in Craigavon in 1979.

Hyster were to occupy a 50 acre site on the Carn Industrial Estate and believed it would be operating by 1981.

The new investment was welcomed by Mr Harold McCusker who, at the time, was the Armagh Unionist candidate for the Westminster elections.
