Nostalgia: Birds galore on show

Almost 900 birds were on show when the Mid-Ulster National Show was held in 1985.

It was sponsored by Lurgan Cage Bird Society and held in the Gordon Pavilion, Monbrief. The birds were on view in the following sections – Yorkshire, Norwich, Gloster, Border, Budgerigar, Foreign, British, New Colours, Red Canaries and Lizards.

Pictured are Leo Foy, Drumbeg North, with the awards he won, judge Jim Cosbey, and Alex Hogg of Kyle Avenue, Lurgan, with his trophies.
