The Craigavon Cowboys lined up against the Bangor Bay Barbarians at Monbrief playing fields.

It proved to be an exciting game watched not only by local fans but also by fans from as far away as Dublin, Coleraine, Omagh and Belfast.

The Cowboys ran out 13-0 winners.

Stanley Kingsmill went in for a Cowboys touchdown with Marcel Seeley adding the one point conversion.

Midway through the third quarter Nigel Trimble intercepted a Barbarian pass to run into the end zone and complete the scoring.
