Nostalgia: First ever Maralin Mini Marathon
The first ever Maralin mini marathon proved to be a great success in 1985.
Around 120 turned out for the event and the overall winner was Lurgan athlete Terence Greene.
The winner in the ladies section was Joy Casey while the boys’ under 16 was won by Mel Hamill and the girls’ under 16 by Jacqueline Mawhinney. Winner in the men’s veterans was Raymond Nicholl and the ladies’ veteran winner was Dorothy Davison.
