Scouts celebrate jubliee week in 1967

SCOUTS In Lurgan celebrated Jubilee Week in 1967 with a parade which was held in a continual downpour.

Cubs and Scouts from the district assembled at Brownlow House and paraded to Shankill Parish Church accompanied by the Salvation Army, Lurgan Amateur Flute and Lurgan Military bands.

There was a good congregation for the service, conducted by the Rev. W. C. Capper who received the Colours at the start of the service.

Winston Hutchinson read the lesson.
