A QUESTION was tabled at the council meeting in October 1969 asking why new doors had to be fitted to the ladies changing rooms at the pool.
Borough surveyor Mr JG Campbell replied: “The anti-permissive society didn’t want to look through.”
Councillor Billy McKinley pointed out people could still see into the ladies changing rooms.
