Summer of ’69

In taking a trip down memory lane we stop along the way for a closer look at the summer of ’69 in Dromore, where the annual Civic Week has all the appearance of having been a roaring success.

Waiters race, locals parade their talents in competition, schoolchildren pick up prizes for poster design, the colour party parades and crowds gather for an open-air service, complete with its very own heckler.

Meanwhle, the Civic Week Queen can be found out and about among the various events.

Check out our slideshow for a flavour of the festival.
