Tricksters rob elderly

They stole jewellery and valuable items as they targeted elderly people.

Three women arrived at a house in New Street in Lurgan where a lady in her 70s lived.

They were carrying a quilt or rug which they pretended was for the occupant.

Once inside one of them asked for a glass of water. After they left the lady found they had stolen a pension book, documents and a substantial amount of cash.

They also stole a gold engagement ring with three stones and a gold dress ring which had a cluster of diamonds set in a square.

In another similar incident a lady lost her handbag, rings and perfume.
