Not a good week for Hilden with two losses

Not a good week for Hilden despite getting six points from a 52 shots win at home to Belfast on Saturday in Private Greens Senior Three.

After dropping three threes Raymond Gourley was 3-16 down at the 10th and 4-21 at 15 ends before losing by 18 shots.

A six and a four gave Steven Kirkwood a 14-6 lead at the 10th and he went on to lead 29-8 at 15 ends. Hilden added two fives to win by 34 shots. Maurice Kirkwood was 9-8 ahead and 15-9 at 15 ends. Hilden added two threes and a five to win by 17 shots. Jonathan McMullan had a 21-3 lead at 11 ends and Hilden went on to win by 19 shots.

BALLYMENA PARK 94 (7) HILDEN 71 (0): A five helped Steven Kirkwood to an 11-8 lead at the eighth, but it was 11-16 at 13 ends and Hilden dropped another three on the way to a nine shots defeat.

A four helped Maurice Kirkwood to a 10-3 lead at the sixth, but it was 13-18 at 14 ends. They dropped a six and lost by five shots.

Raymond Gourley was 0-8 down at the fifth but a three helped him to a 14-9 lead at 13 ends. Hilden lost by four shots.

After lifting a three Jonathan McMullan was 8-7 ahead at the tenth and 12-9 at 15 ends. Hilden dropped a four to go 12-18 down at 18 ends but lifted two, four to level, but dropped a five at the last end.
