The Erne County’s win at the weekend over Limerick has maintained their status at the top of the third flight along with the Orchard county who are also placed on nine points,

Although the players won’t be taking anything for granted the County side can put a positive spin on the fact that Armagh are currently the top scorers in all four Divisions having run up a tally of 10, 18 and conceded just 4-48.

Only four sides remain unbeaten in all four Divisions of the National League, Longford and Offally are on full points and although in Division 3 Armagh and Fermanagh still remain unbeaten the sides shared the spoils last moth when they met at the Athletic Grounds.

Speaking after Armagh’s hard fought win over Clare last Sunday in Ennis team boss Kieran McGeeney said, “ We did well to recover when Clare began to dominate particularly at the start of the second half. They played a very effective running game but all the lads kept their nerve to pull out a deserved victory.”
