MONEYSLANE travelled to play second in the league Ambassadors in a league clash at the weekend and put in one of their best performances of the season.

Slane went ahead with a good cross from N Hanna to Gary Hanna who picked out Michael Corbett. He made no mistake with his finish which flew into the back of the net for the opening goal.

Slane kept the tempo up and the rear guard of Thompson, Hanna, Gamble and Cromie were solid in front of Megaw between the sticks.

Gary Hanna made the home keeper pull off a great save to deny him a goal early on in the second half.

Smyth hit a shot just wide of the post but made sure with his second attempt that flew past the keeper.

Slane were working hard with the ball and had some young players in the squad that made a big difference.

This was a massive win for Slane who worked hard to get the result. Best on the day was Neil Hanna at right back.
