‘Open mike’ night at club

With the Sarsfields under 14 and under 16 sides set to contest All County Championship finals the management of both teams have organised the fundraiser.

A special invite will be forwarded to parents and family members of the young players who will be looking forward to both sides playing in their respective finals at the Athletic Grounds. The night is set to start at 9pm and admission is £5.

There will be no shortage of prizes on offer for the best entertainer on the night and a number of guest singers will also be attending. All the proceeds will be going to aid the drive for championship success.

One of the organisers said: “Invitations will be sent to parents and family members of the young players. The night its self will contain a lot of singing and nostalgia and if those in attendance feel they know a good joke or can take the mike they would be more than welcome to do so. Even the acapello types will be accommodated.”
