Banbridge however did take a little edge leading 3-2 at the end of the first quarter. One change was made going into the second quarter with Ciara Vaughan replacing new recruit Gabrielle Feenan in WD.

With some fantastic interceptions and rebounds by GD Alana Kerr and GK Sarah Shaw, Banbridge were able to turn these over and extended their lead to 9 – 6 at the end of the second quarter. The third quarter saw Sarah Shaw move in to GA and Gabrielle Feenan in to GK. Again Banbridge battled hard forcing errors by Mid-Ulster which helped Banbridge to increase the gap to 16 – 9 at the end of the third quarter. Their fantastic work-rate continued in the last quarter which resulted in Mid-Ulster finding it very difficult to get the ball into their shooting circle.

Again GD Alana Kerr and WD Ciara Vaughan did a superb job intercepting the majority of the Mid-Ulster centre passes and sending the ball back down the court allowing GS Amy Kerr to effortlessly shoot the ball into the net.

Captain Alana Kerr was the player of the match but a special mention should go to Sarah Shaw and Alana Kerr who were both playing out of position and did a fantastic job in defence.

TEAM: Sarah Shaw, Alana Kerr, Gabrielle Feenan, Zara Sloan, Clara Cromie, Jessica Thompson, Amy Walsh, Ciara Vaughan.
