Opening defeat forCraigavon Squash Club

Craigavon Squash Club opened their Division 1 season recently with a 10-3 defeat against Dungannon.

Peter Barclay at number 1 faced a very talented opponent and went down by 3 games to 0 although not without his usual fight.

New club number 2 Darren McCabe also faced an experienced player and he went down by the same 3-0 margin. Darren will get stronger as the season goes on.

Rory Reynolds at number 4 was very rusty on the night and he lost by the same 3-0 scoreline.

Nick Rusk was Craigavon’s only winner on the night by 3 games to 0 playing some excellent squash along the way.

Club nights are up and running at Craigavon Leisure Centre on Thursdays from 7.30pm and newcomers are always welcome.
