Rower Ellie-Kate Hutchinson was presented with the award at a recent ceremony celebrating the year’s sporting success for ‘the Orange’, the university’s nickname.
A former Bann Rowing Club member, Ellie-Kate was the only first year rower in the varsity eight team and helped Syracuse reach their highest ranking in the university rowing programme this season.
Ellie-Kate is a current British and Irish champion.
