Under the eagle eye of their manager Eugene McVeigh, the squad has added a new fitness regime and members are expected to undertake up to eight hours of different routines which are complemented by sessions in the National Badminton Centre.

The commitment of these players would put many other sportsmen and women to shame and the attached photo shows world champion Niall McVeigh and Andrew Moorcroft gasping for breath after one of the testing sessions.
