The event was held at Lagan Valley Leisureplex and was organised by Disability Sports NI to allow children with a physical or sensory disability the chance to try out five different Paralympic sports.

Ten children from the local area attended the event and thoroughly enjoyed taking part in Athletics, Boccia, Football, Wheelchair basketball and Table tennis. Each session was taken by qualified coaches from each of the sports and allowed the children to meet and compete against other children with similar disabilities.

Many of the children had been inspired by the London 2012 Paralympic games but have limited opportunities to take part in sport. It is hoped that events like this will promote disability sport and give these children more options to participate. The event was funded by Ulster Garden Villages and was supported by Sport NI, the Association of Paediatric Chartered Physiotherapists, Athletics Northern Ireland, the Irish Football Association and Ulster Table Tennis. Lisburn City Council also supported the event as part of the Lisburn European City of Sport 2013 celebrations.
