parkrun goes festive

Fancy dress is, as always, optional but it should be a good chance to see an array of Santa’s running up and down the beach on a brisk parkrun day morning.

To date there have been 14 parkruns at Portrush East Strand beach, some 580 people running 2,900km in a total of 284 hours.

Portrush is one of seven parkruns in Northern Ireland that hold their FREE 5km run each an every Saturday morning. It is also one of 193 parkruns around the world, with over 400,000 people registered. But it is still the only parkrun on the beach.
