Paul gets first 'ace' of summer
IN the April Medal competition on Saturday there were big celebrations at the eighth hole.
The first 'official ace' of the summer golfing season was recorded there.
Congratulations go to Paul Mulgrew for producing this ace at the par three. This mid handicapper was obviously delighted with his sensational shot. Remarkably the other three members in the fourball also played the hole sensationally as each recorded a timely 'two' at the hole. The others were Ivan Hanak, John McEvoy and Stephen Loughran.
In spite of his 'one' on the scorecard Paul only halved the hole in the accompanying match. Indeed the three who scored twos also witnessed their pool dividend shrink by fifty per cent.
