Paula starts new season with a personal best

Fit N Running athlete Paula Wallace has had a fine winter and produced a personal best performance to emphasise the fact in the seasons opening road race at Duncrue Industrial Estate on Saturday afternoon.

She clipped 16secs of her previous best to finish in 36mins 55secs.

James Wallace finished narrowly outside his best when he finished 3rd in his age category in 30mins 6 secs.

Club newcomer Brian Geddis who has just taken up the sport finished 5th in his age group in 34mins 39secs.

PARKRUN

Connor McQuillan finished 1st junior and 2nd overall at the Ecos Parkrun in 17mins 51secs.

CLUB DETAILS

Fit N Running, who are based at the Michelin Athletic Club, train three times each week, with an attention to detail approach which delivers great results for all of its members.

Monday at 6.15pm is an easy paced run. The beginners’ eight-week course is now complete. Congratulations to all who completed the 40min run.

Tuesday at 6.15pm is Advanced level to improve speed and performance.

Wednesday at 6pm is strength conditioning training in a circuit format.

There is also a weight-loss group which meets on Wednesday evenings with tailored nutrition plans and a weekly weigh-in provided.

There is now a juvenile group on Tuesday evenings. New members are always welcome.
