As Limavady pushed for an equaliser, a high ball was met with a clash of heads between Adam Leese and John Henry with John having to go to hospital and Adam missing the next match .

This showed the closeness of this team as the boy fought for every ball and held on to win 1-0.

The second match against Stranocum saw goals from Zack McConnell and Conor Stewart making his Peacocks debut.

The third match against Glebeside saw Conor Kneeland winning it with a well hit shot into the top corner of the net and Harry Kilgore controlling the left side. McVicker was trying his best to score against his father’s team but just failed as the game ended with the Peacocks winning 1-0 and topping their table with three wins out of three.

Bertie’s boys played Carniny in the semi-final with Gallagher returning to the centre of defence and Leese on the right. Berties looked strong and it was no surprise when McConnell ran onto a through ball from Keith Gallagher and again finished into the net with ease 1-0. After some good saves from Carniny ‘s keeper this semi ended with a 1-0 win to the Peacocks .

The final against Limavady turned out to be Bertie’s finest game with Convery scoring twice and McVicker and McConnell also going close.

These missed chances nearly came back to haunt Peacocks as Limavady scored a late goal but Bertie’s boys held on to win the Cup .
