Pigeon man Jimmy breaks his duck

THE fifth race in the NIPA Section C young bird campaign was from Clonmel, with birds liberated on Saturday at 11am in to a north-west wind and a steady race was on the cards.

A top result and a well deserved win for club chairman Jimmy Parkes, who breaks his novice status and records his first win, timing a gift youngster from his good friend and club secretary Raymond Hamilton. Colin takes the runner-up spot, with the loft in form, the Harvey Brothers, taking the next two positions. Nom was won by Joe Morrison.
