LAST weekend the NIPA made a good call by having the race from Fermoy flown on Friday instead of Saturday when there were many weather problems. Bird were released at noon in a helping south east wind, the 5 Bird Classic was also flown in duplicate. Rasharkin & Dist had a lot of the early arrivals and J & D Surgenor were tops timing a trainer to win 1st Mid Antrim Combine and favourite for Sect B honours. Fermoy was another steady race into Coleraine, best bird was timed by Leslie Madden of the Coleraine Premier doing velocity 1606, just a yard ahead of Terence McCrudden who had 1st Coleraine & County Derry RPS. The Donaghy team were back to winning ways in the Windsor Social.
