Also, the Ballyvally seniors who shot the shorter distances and won medals on Saturday were Damian Lennon; Marion Patterson; and Andrea Hamilton.

The Senior Championship was held over both days.

There was close competition in the Gents Recurve section with a Ballyvally senior and two juniors competing. Alan Convery qualified in first place of the 720 round with a score of 621, Peter Lavery in sixth place and Frank Lennon in eighth.

Peter and Frank were knocked out in the first round of the head-to-head eliminations.

Alan went on, fighting off strong competition, to win gold and the Gents Recurve Championship title.

In the Ladies Senior Recurve section, Nollen Lilley qualified second with a score of 512 and was the eventual runner-up in the Ladies Recurve Championship.
