The First half of the game was fast paced with the Plunketts boys holding plenty of possession to come away all even at the whistle.

But the boys picked up the pace in the second half with Gavin Goodfellow and Matthew Rafferty bagging goals within the first few minutes to give the boys a comfortable lead. With scores coming from James Quinn, Ruari Begley and another goal from Gavin it looked as if it was in the bag but Galbally were not going to give it away that easy and in the last 10 minutess pushed hard to make and made a come back.

The 10 point lead that Pomeroy had built up came now down to just 3 points with minutes to go but with great defending and a save from goalie Anthony McKenna the Plunketts secured themselves a place in the final.

Good luck to the boys and to their managers Marty Begley and Marty McNally on Saturday.

We have just added a new album to our gallery on the website entitled “Plunkett’s On Tour”. We want photographs of any of our members who are travelling around the world or even locally, either on holiday or living farther afield. Take your picture at any famous landmarks and send it in. One rule though, you must have your Plunketts colours on.
