Pool league resumes as Festival reaches conclusion

There was a great turn out for Captains night with the following captains being split into two groups for round robin competition to determine the finalists The finalists were Alan Rainey (Moat A) and Dean Greer (Towers Tavern) and it was Alan Rainey who ran out the winner with a 5-4 victory.

The Seniors had a disappointing turn out with only three players taking part. Gary Ormandy and Jimmy Knowles progressed to the final and Gary ran out a 5-4 victory.

The Doubles final was another tight affair and the Towers Tavern pair of James Millar and Shane Moody defeated Michael Thompson and Brian Hannaway 5-4.

With the Festival now over, attention switches back to the race for the Ballymena Towers Pool League title, which resumes tonight (Tuesday).
