POOL: Saints have edge in thriller against Q Pool

Two teams in the Larne Pool League remain with 100 per cent records after a contender for Match of the Season took place at Q Club.

It was the Saints who edged Q Pool 9-7 after a dramatic topsy-turvy match that saw the visitors go 5-0 up, 7-5 down, and then, going on to win the last four.

Captain Dean McDonagh was the hero, winning the play-off. The Thatch won convincingly against the Reds; Ryan McKillop and Gerry McCorry with hat-tricks while the Feathers kept the pressure up at the top with a 10-5 win over Ruby’s bar.
